Charlotte Concert Band presents its spring concert, called Spectrum on Saturday, April 12th, 2014, at 8pm at Dana Auditorium on the campus of Queens University. This free concert will feature music that depicts light and color in various ways. The highlight of the evening will be a performance of George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, featuring piano soloist, Cynthia Lawing, of Davidson College. The band will also perform works by J. S. Bach, James Curnow, Percy Grainger, and Eric Whitacre. Dana Auditorium is at 1928 Selwyn Avenue.
