Neighborhood Theatre, at 511 East 36th Street, is hosting a free event: Charlotte United Nations International Day of Peace. It takes place Saturday, September 20th, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. The program will include speakers, artists and performers. Ali Karti, the foreign minister of Sudan is the keynote speaker, and Mark Siljander, former Congressman and Ambassador to the UN, will also be speaking. Tickets will be sold, but there is no charge for standing or for seating if there are extra seats available. Donations are accepted.
