Friday, September 26th, 2014, Romare Bearden Park, at 300 South Church Street, will host a free evening of entertainment. At 8:00 p.m., the Charlotte Symphony, conducted by Roger Kalia, will offer a diverse program including pieces by Gershwin, Dvorak, Duke Ellington and more. At 9:30 p.m. watch the movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Show up early and grab dinner from one of the eleven food trucks which will be on site starting at 5:00 p.m. for Chow Down Uptown Food Truck Rally. (Day of the week corrected in this post.)

The date on the symphony in the park says Saturday September 26th. The 26th is actually a Friday. Is the concert on Friday the 26th or Saturday the 27th? Thanks 🙂
