Davidson College hosts a free jazz concert on Friday, April 4th, 2014, at 8pm, by saxophonist Grace Kelly. The concert will be at Duke Family Performance Hall, in Knobloch Campus Center on the Davidson campus. The Jazz Ensemble’s season culminates with this thrilling residency by the rising star Grace Kelly, a young saxophonist, singer, and composer/arranger who has already received high acclaim. Her young yet established career has already had her recording with the likes of Dave Brubeck, Wynton Marsalis, Phil Woods, Harry Connick, Jr., Jamie Cullum, Frank Morgan, Toots Thielemans, Dianne Reeves and Ann Hampton Callaway, among many others.
