Try gymnastics for free on National Gymnastics Day, Saturday, September 20th, 2014, 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Carolina Flipz, 11812 Carolina Place Parkway in Pineville. More info: Carolina Flipz will be participating in National Gymnastics Day, offering free gymnastics, snacks, a bounce house and more. The event will be Saturday, Sept. 20 from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Carolina Flipz, 11812 Carolina Place Parkway, Suite B, in Pineville. The gym will be open to everyone with our professional coaches there to instruct and supervise children as they play and explore the equipment. National Gymnastics Day is an annual event put on by USA Gymnastics, the sport’s national governing body. In its 16th year, the day is to celebrate gymnastics and introduce the sport to people who may not be familiar with it or have always been interested, but have never been able to try. In addition to tumbling, demonstrations and opening the gym to the public, the gym is accepting donations for the Levine Children’s Hospital for our 500 Flipz fundraiser. The gym will match donations up to the day. Participants will then do flips of any kind, from rolls to back flips, to raise money for the cause.
