The Duke Mansion, at 400 Hermitage Road, Charlotte, is presenting a history program, History Along West Boulevard.
This free program can be attended in person the Duke Mansion or livestreamed. It takes place Sunday, March 27th, 2022, from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
The program features Rickey Hall and J. Michael Moore, and is moderated by community historian, Dr. Tom Hanchett.

West Boulevard Neighborhood Coalition leader Rickey Hall and historian J. Michael Moore team up to document 150 years of African American community-building along West Boulevard — from Moore’s Sanctuary AME Zion Church … to early Black neighborhood leaders for whom Reid Park Academy and Charles H. Parker schools are named … to new landmarks such as the Stratford Richardson YMCA and the West Boulevard Neighborhood Neighborhood Coalition Seeds for Change Urban Farm.
