Charlotte Indoor Tennis Club, at 8401 Sharon Lakes Road, is hosting Mr. Rogers Windows Charlotte Clay Classic, a USTA $10,000 Pro Circuit Women’s Event, from June 7, 2015, to June 14. See the detailed schedule here. Touring professionals and collegiate players from around the world are participating in qualifying rounds beginning Sunday, June 7. The 32 woman field main draw begins play Tuesday, June 9. Quarterfinal matches are Thursday, June 11 and Friday, June 12. The semifinals are held Saturday, June 13, and the finals will be held Sunday, June 14. Attendance is free but donations are accepted.
In addition, a Kids’ Community Carnival will take place on Saturday, June 6th, 2015, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Kids can play tennis with the pros, participate in games, and will even receive a free t-shirt. Bring your own racquet. There will be activities for toddlers through teens. This is a free event, but please call 704-554-7777 to RSVP.
