The Rock & Read 5K, on September 19th, 2015, takes place in Plaza Midwood and benefits the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Foundation. On Wednesday, August 19th, 2015, JJ’s Red Hots, Charlotte’s favorite hot dog joint, is hosting a registration event for the 5K at its Dilworth location, 1514 East Boulevard, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Live music for the registration event will be provided by Taco Pony, with members of local folk/rock band Time Sawyer. Go and sign up, or just enjoy the music and a hot dog.
JJ’s Red Hots is providing additional support for the Charlotte Mecklenburg Library Foundation during this event and throughout August with its literary-themed Dog of the Week. When you buy the Hot Dog of the Week a portion of the proceeds go to the foundation.
