Hodges Family Farm, at 3900 Rocky River Road East, is hosting a FREE Mud Run and party on Saturday, April 11th, 2015, from 9 a.m. to around 2 p.m. No registration is required (but please RSVP on the Facebook event to help them plan) and no start times. Run when you show up. It’s more of an obstacle course than a race. You can run, you can walk, you can take shortcuts, you can stop and smell the flowers. As Hodges says “Ain’t nobody judging you here.” A clock will be provided, however, for those who wish to judge themselves. This is a party too, with music, so bring the family. There is no cost to participate; however, parking is $10 (to the farm, to offset costs), so pile your friends into the van. Donations will be collected for the Wounded Warrior Project.
If you’re not familiar with Hodges Family Farm yet, you’re in for a treat. It’s possibly the oldest Charlotte family farm, with 12 generations taking part in the management of the farm over its over 100 years of existence. Today it’s best known as an equestrian center and pumpkin patch.
