Whether you’re at home or traveling, you can get FREE admission to more than 1,000 venues in all 50 states during the Annual Smithsonian Museum Day on Sept. 18th, 2021.
Starting August 18th, 2021, on the Museum Day website, select which museum you’d like to visit and click on “get a ticket.”
Each ticket is good for FREE admission for two people at a participating museum.
You can choose only one museum per email address. So choose wisely and perhaps have your “plus one” choose a different museum.
Once you get a ticket you can’t exchange it for another.
So far, we don’t have a lot of participation In the Charlotte area, although more museums might register closer to Museum Day.
And, remember, there are participating museums all over the country, so if you’re traveling, make sure to check the list of participating museums.
Also, make sure to check out our list of free museum days in Charlotte.
Right now, the only attraction listed for our area is UNC Charlotte Botanical Gardens, at 9090 Craver Road. Although it’s free every day, on Museum Day it will be offering free guided tours to guests who register.
To register for a guided tour, email Christen Hoover at choove10@uncc.edu.
