Charlotte has been looking for a song to represent the Queen City. On Tuesday, April 25th, 2017 you can hear the finalists perform their Charlotte song at Sounds of the QC. It takes place at The Underground at NC Music Factory, 820 Hamilton Street. All ages are welcome. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the performances start at 7 p.m.

The winning individual or group will be invited to perform at the National League of Cities meeting in November 2017 in Charlotte, N.C., and at the Queen City Awards, which will be televised this year. Additional prizes include:
- Mentorship with Hip-Hop University and Hip-Hop Orchestrated
- A photo shoot with Spread magazine with a maximum of three looks as well as an interview and ads on the magazine’s website
- Red carpet access at the Queen City Awards in December with VIP seating
- A write up in The Konnected Magazine

- Monetization of the winning song video on YouTube
