Lenny and Jace are classmates. Despite apparently different personalities, they have one thing in common: they are both children of an alcoholic parent…
Children’s Theatre is excited to offer Liars, a play that addresses alcohol and substance abuse. Liars deals with the effects that a parent’s addiction to alcohol can have on a family, and the strength and support that Lenny and Jace find in their discovery that they are not alone in their problems. The goal of the play, which supports NC Essential Standards in Health Education for eighth graders, is to give students information concerning alcohol and substance abuse to make healthy, informed, positive choices and choose effective ways to deal with peer and societal pressure. The production is recommended for ages 12 and up.
This program is made possible with generous support from the Mecklenburg County ABC Board.
