Opera Carolina is presenting three one-act operas, for free, at D9 Brewing, 11138 Treynorth Dr, Cornelius, on Thursday, November 3rd, 2016, at 7 p.m.
Opera may be a centuries old art form but that doesn’t mean it can’t adapt and showcase the problems and situations of our current time. Come to D9 Brewing Co and watch three one-act operas be performed: Barber’s A Hand of a Bridge, Menotti’s The Telephone and lastly the stage premiere of Scott Joiner’s Connection Lost (The Tinder Opera). Connection Lost (The Tinder Opera) explores dating in the 21st Century and all the technological and romantic mishaps that entails.
Enjoy a locally brewed beer and watch one man’s quest for a relationship, with the help of a dating app, for yourself.
Tickets are free but you should register in advance, to grab your spot.
