Union Symphony Orchestra is presenting a free pops concert on the campus of Wingate University on Monday, June 23rd, 2014, at 7:30 p.m. It will be on the lawn of the Stegall Building. Blankets, lawn chairs and picnics are welcome. The musical program will feature a medley of Broadway hits by Rogers & Hammerstein and favorite selections from Lerner & Lowe’s “My Fair Lady.” Aaron Copeland’s signature works “Hoe Down” and “Rodeo” will celebrate the spirit of the American West. Patriotic favorites like “Stars and Stripes Forever” by John Philips Sousa will conclude the evening.
