Family Agriculture Resource Management Services (F.A.R.M.S.) is hosting a Senior Produce Event on Saturday, November 21st, 2015, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. People age 60 and older should come to Clinton Chapel AME Zion Church, 319 Whitehaven Road. From 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. seniors who currently receive SNAP (formerly “food stamps”) will receive donations of produce. Bring proof of SNAP benefits. After 11 a.m. anyone 60 or older can receive free produce. Supplies are limited. One donation per person. There will also be cooking demonstrations and information about nutrition. The produce is grown and donated by local African American farmers.
