Every Sunday, the Levine Museum of the New South offers free admission to individuals and to groups smaller than 10 people. On Sunday, June 7th, 2015, at 2:30 p.m. a special program will be held in conjunction with the exhibit ACLU of North Carolina: Fifty Years of Protecting Liberty. This free program will feature a panel of advocates and policy advocates who will look at how the ACLU has helped shape the national and local dialogue in the past 50 years with its work around tough issues. The panel will feature James Ferguson, the former general counsel to the national ACLU, Charles Johnson, past president of the ACLU-NC, researcher Amanda Hughett, and ACLU-NC Policy Director Sarah Preston. The discussion will be moderated by Levine Museum staff. A reception will be held prior to the discussion beginning at 1:30 pm. The program is free and open to the public. Registration is requested.
