Matthews Playhouse is presenting Shrek the Musical from Friday, June 13th, 2014, through June 29th, 2014, at Matthews Community Center, 100 McDowell Street East in Matthews. The production, recommended for ages 5 and up, costs $18 for adults, $15 for students and seniors, and $12 for kids. Tickets are available now. To celebrate the show, Matthews Playhouse and Planet Ballroom are holding FREE SHREKtacular dance parties on Saturdays June 14th, June 21st, and June 28th from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. before the show. The parties take place at Planet Ballroom, 189 North Trade Street in Matthews. Enjoy dance lessons, demonstrations by the professionals and refreshments. Dance with characters from Shrek. These parties are free and for all ages.
