So you can park there, buy a general admission ticket, then take the shuttle into Uptown Charlotte, where you can visit Mint Museum Uptown, as well as the other museums that are right there (Gantt Center, Bechtler Museum, etc.) without having to pay for parking. And remember, the Mint Museums offer free admission on Wednesdays after 5 p.m.! Great deal!

New FREE public shuttle service will make it easier than ever to visit both locations of the state’s first art museum this holiday season.
In a pilot program, the museum will offer the free shuttles to museum guests between Mint Museum Uptown and Mint Museum Randolph on Wednesdays and Saturdays beginning this week, Wednesday, December 16, and continuing through January 16. The shuttles will run from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesdays and noon-4 p.m. Saturdays, and will be for guests with valid general admission to the museum those days. Shuttles depart on the hour from Mint Museum Uptown, and on the half-hour from Mint Museum Randolph. Wednesdays and Saturdays are typically the museum’s highest-traffic days of the week – both museum locations are open for FREE general admission each Wednesday from 5-9 p.m.
Additionally, the museum will be open for special holiday hours during the weeks of Christmas and New Year’s. Both locations will be open from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22 and Tuesday, December 29. The museums are closed on Thursday and Friday, December 24 and 25, and Thursday and Friday, December 31 and January 1, for the holidays, and then resume normal Wednesday-Sunday operating hours beginning January 2.
