Clearwater Artists Studios, 223 Crowell Drive NW in Concord, is hosting Sun Drop Pound Cake Paint-Off Extravaganza on Saturday, February 7th, 2015, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Five award-winning artists will be creating portraits from one live model over the two-hour period. The featured artists will be Paul Keysar Louise Stewart Farley, Walter Stanford, Gordon C. James and Robert Crum. Several other artists will be working too. Space permitting, visitors are permitted to draw or paint too. Bring your own materials. Work from the artists will be displayed at the gallery in February and will be available for purchase the night of the event and throughout the month.
Other highlights are refreshments, including locally-baked Sun Drop pound case, and improv entertainment by local spoken-word artists, including the featured Emcee, Quentin Talley.
