Fresh To Order, at Carolina Place, is a new “fast-fine” restaurant that combines the quality of chef-inspired cuisine found in a formal fine dining restaurant with the operating platform and the prices of a fast casual restaurant. Most items, including entrées, panini sandwiches, soups and salads, are served in less than 10 minutes for under around $10.
I had the chance to visit Fresh To Order today and sample some of the menu items and I was very impressed! Each menu item truly is made to order. I tried the Blackened Lime Shrimp with Blue Cheese Dressing and it was amazing. I also got to sample all six soups and I’d be hard pressed to say which was best. This is so far from “mall food.” An entrée is only a couple bucks more than a couple of pizza slices in the food court, so it’s definitely a great deal for what you get.
On Friday, February 27th, Fresh To Order (f2o) is hosting its grand opening celebration. Stop by between 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and sample some of the menu items for FREE. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony at 3:00 p.m. Guests can win prizes until 7:00 p.m., including $20 and $50 gift cards every hour. The restaurant will collect business cards for a drawing to win a $100 catering party.
Some of what you’ll find at Fresh To Order: Brown Sugar Roasted Pork Loin, Grilled Salmon with Black Bean Orange Sauce, and a host of gluten-free delights. Other crowd pleasers include Salmon Panini with Roasted Corn Relish and Tarragon Aioli, and Spinach Salad with Blue Cheese Crumbles, Strawberries and Seasonal Fruit.

11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.: Free appetizers, including tastings of Ale Laced Chicken Tenders, Almond Crusted Seared Tuna, Blackened Lime Shrimp and Panini samples
1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.: Soup tasting
3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.: Sample an assortment of soups, salads, paninis, entrée items, cookies and brownies
