We have written about TreesCharlotte’s free trees for Charlotte residents many times, but here’s an opportunity for Concord, North Carolina, residents.
Energy-Savings Trees is a program that is designed to help people plant trees on their property for maximum energy savings.
The program is made possible in Concord by Arbor Day Foundation, the City of Concord, and All Saints Episcopal Church.
Trees around homes will not only help reduce the amount of energy your home requires, but they also add to your property value, reduce your carbon footprint, improve the air quality, and more effectively catch stormwater runoff.
If you are a Concord resident, go here to request one free tree. You’ll need to enter your address, decide where to put a tree on your property, select a tree, and then sign up for a time to pick it up.
Registrations starts September 4, 2024.
Available trees include:
- Allegheny Serviceberry
- American Sycamore
- Bald Cypress
- Red Maple
- Sourwood
- Tulip Poplar
- Willow Oak
