Davidson Farmer’s Market, 120 South Main Street in Davidson, is holding a free vermicompost workshop on Saturday, October 25th, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Learn how to turn produce waste into rich, fertile soil that you can use in a garden bed, fruit tree orchard or house plant. All you will need to bring is a bin no more than 1.5 feet deep and approximately 1 square foot for every pound of waste you would have in per week. Pre-registration is required. Call 704-892-3349. If you register by October 12th you’ll get free worms. This is the first post I’ve ever written about free worms.
