The forecast this weekend is for snow…in Fort Mill anyway. Baxter Village is presenting the inaugural Winter Fest on Saturday, December 13th, 2014, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Market Street in Baxter Village, which is at the corner of I-77 and Highway 160. Zippy Ice of Charlotte is helping to create several tons of snow for a 100-foot-long sledding hill. In addition to sledding, visitors will see Santa and his elves and take part in hayrides and an obstacle course. There will also be inflatables, strolling carolers costumed as Dickens characters, game booths, face painting and s’mores by the fire pits. Seasonal food and beverages will be available from merchants such as Beef O’Brady’s, Six Pence Pub, grapevine, Fratellis, Akahana, Baxter Social House, McAlister’s Deli, Cupcrazed, TCBY and Fish Market.
Entertainment will be provided by the Fort Mill High School Concert Chorus, the Holiday Singers of the Carolinas and Next Level Gymnastics Academy. This is a free event. BYO Sled.
