Goodyear Arts, now at 516 North College Street, continues the mission of hosting innovative artist residencies and events in underused buildings. They’re having a Preview Party on Friday, July 15th, 2016, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. It’s open to the public and free to attend.
Featuring artwork by incoming & alumni artists-in-residence: Leah Mulligan Cabinum, Micah Cash, Robert Childers, Renee Cloud, de’Angelo Dia, Lisandro Herrera, Holly Christine Keogh, Chris Thomas, Andy McMillan, Matthew Steele, Todd Stewart, Grace Elizabeth Stott, & Andrea Vail.
And presenting two performances:
7:30 – performance for noise, drums, & televisions by guest artists Clint Sleeper & Huw Webb
8:30 – solo set by incoming resident artist Dylan Gilbert
Free beer while it lasts provided by Birdsong Brewing Co., Sierra Nevada, & PBR Charlotte. AND our friends at The Masa Casa, King of Pops Charlotte, and Hyde Brewing (from the folks behind The Daily Press) will be on site with tamales, popsicles, & coffee for sale!
Even if you can’t make it to the preview party…we’ll offer open hours beginning July 6th—with Hyde Brewing serving up artisan coffee in our gallery/ collaborative workspace every Wednesday-Saturday from 9am-6pm. Please come see art, hang out, drink coffee, & have wifi adventures.
