Bargain hunters, you will want to check out the grand opening of two special Goodwill stores on Wednesday, June 8th, 2016. They represent the two extremes of the Goodwill experience: GW, which will feel like shopping in a boutique, and Second Editions, the rebranding of the Goodwill Outlet Store, where you can get deep discounts on items that didn’t sell at Goodwill retail stores.
This past winter, Goodwill created a pop-up concept store, GW, at the EpiCentre. It featured the best curated Goodwill finds in men’s and women’s fashion, accessories, shoes, jewelry adn home décor, presented in a boutique fashion, with items grouped together by theme, color, or as ensembles. The store was up for just a week. Now, Goodwill is opening GW as a permanent store on the Goodwill Opportunity Campus, 5301 Wilkinson Boulevard.
Also on the Goodwill Opportunity Campus will be Second Editions. Second Editions is the rebranding of the Goodwill Outlet Store on Freedom Drive. It will remain the same, featuring the items that didn’t sell at Goodwill retail stores, at even deeper discounts than at the retail stores. Clothing will still be sold “by the pound” and other items will be marked 50% from the Goodwill retail prices. This is the mothership of Goodwill stores. Read all about it. Note: The Freedom Drive location will close.
Both stores on the Goodwill Opportunity Campus will be celebrating their grand opening together. They are right next door to each other. Here are the details:
When: Wednesday, June 8th from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. The stores officially open to the public at 9 a.m.
