Friendship Market, a new non-profit cafe, is opening Wednesday, March 4th, 2015, at 2401-A Distribution Street, off Remount Road in historic South End. It’s not like other restaurants because in addition to featuring a rotating seasonal menu of house made soups, sandwiches and pastries, 100 percent of the proceeds benefit Friendship Trays, Charlotte’s meals-on-wheels nonprofit. The grand opening, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., will feature FREE menu tastings, door prizes, music, and the chance to win a free lunch.
