Town Creek Indian Mound, at 509 Town Creek Mound Road in Mount Gilead, is hosting a Grandparents Day celebration on Sunday, September 13th, 2015, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Here’s all the information on the free event:
Celebrate National Grandparent’s Day with a visit to Town Creek. Bring a picnic if you like, view artifacts from the ancient past, explore the reconstructed village site, and take a stroll on the quarter-mile nature trail. Participants will have the opportunity to make a keepsake bracelet or clay creation as a gift for their grandparents to commemorate the day. Additionally, site staff will be available to take family portraits at the village site that we’ll happily email to you.
