Building Futures, Habitat Charlotte Region’s annual advocacy event bringing together community and industry experts, amplifies the affordable housing challenge faced here in greater Charlotte. Learn how racism and inequity continue to affect marginalized groups, limiting their ability to secure safe, affordable homes.
This free event takes place on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Central Piedmont Community College’s Dale F. Halton Theater from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
This is a free event. RSVPs are required.
This year Habitat Charlotte Region welcomes Clint Smith, New York Times Bestselling Author and writer at The Atlantic, who will deliver a compelling discourse that examines how memory and history shape society’s understanding of justice. Hear about the impacts of systemic racism on modern American life and learn how you can advocate for racial justice using storytelling for change and education for equity as tools for change.
