Every Christmas season there are several families in the Charlotte area who go all out on decorating their house for the season. They string thousands of lights, and even broadcast music that guests can listen to through their car radio, often synchronizing the lights to the music.

One family who puts on a Christmas display takes it even a step further and does a light show for Halloween too.
McAdenville is known for Christmas lights, but this family has caught the Halloween spirit and is sharing it with all who want to drive by and watch the show.

The Hammond Family, at 508 Chamberlain Court, McAdenville, has become the Halloween family of Christmas Town. To be fair, they are also a Christmas family. In fact, they keep the same lights for Halloween and Christmas, and reprogram them for each holiday.
Their first night of this year will be October 6, 2023, and the last night will be Halloween night.
- Fridays and Saturdays: 7 to 10 p.m.
- Sunday to Thursday: 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Besides the lights, the house boasts an elaborate graveyard display in the yard, fog and even fire.
It’s free to drive up and watch. Just please be respectful of neighbors.

2022 will be their fourth year putting on a Halloween light show.
