Homegrown Melodies is a concert program by the local quintet Burnt Reeds, who will be performing pieces written by local Carolinian composers and a hip hop beats artist.
In August, 2024, they will be performing 11 free concerts around the Charlotte area. Homegrown Melodies tours is sponsored by Culture Blocks, a community partnership funded by Mecklenburg County.
Following the tour, the group will be recording the works through Albany Records and releasing a CD to highlight Charlotte music and artists.
