Homeschool week at Discovery Place

There are a couple days left in homeschool week at Discovery Place. Through September 19th, 2014, homeschool educators get a discounted rate. For $12 they get admission, an IMAX ticket and entry to preview the new electricity assembly show, Zapped! This rate also applies to any guests that accompany them during their visit (not just the educator). Just bring proof of homeschool status.

Also, don’t forget that home educators are included in Educator Saturdays this month:

All educators are invited to visit any Discovery Place museum for free on Saturdays in September. That includes Discovery Place, Charlotte Nature Museum, Discovery Place KIDS-Huntersville and Discovery Place KIDS-Rockingham. Just register at the admissions desk with your school ID and you’ll be admitted with one guest. Learn how your students can benefit from the musseums’ offerings. You will receive a packet of goodies including the new Educator Guides, special coupons and a chance to win a free field trip for your class (transportation not included). Stop by Discovery Place Education Studio between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to learn about new course offerings and register to win a free professional development course. During your visit, enjoy an IMAX screening of D-Day: Normandy 1944 or Journey to the South Pacific for just $5 per person.
