IKEA Charlotte is celebrating its 15th anniversary on February 17 and 18, 2024. For 15 years, the mega furniture and accessory store at 8300 Ikea Blvd, Charlotte, NC, has drawn shoppers from across the Carolinas and beyond with its seemingly endless options for attractive, stream-lined, affordable furniture — not to mention the Swedish meatballs in the restaurant.
The 15th anniversary celebration will include giveaways, discounts, entertainment and local sports mascots. The store hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day.

Saturday Schedule
- 9:30 a.m.: Anniversary weekend opening speech by Charlotte Mayor, Vi Lyles, plus UNCC Drum Line, Norm the Niner and Checkers mascot, Chubby, outside the store entrance
- 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.: Young Icons singing performance, at the IKEA self-serve area
- 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.: Visit from Homer, the Charlotte Knights mascot
- 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Task Rabbit assembly demonstration in the IKEA self-serve area
- 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.: DJ am.fm.live in the IKEA self-serve area
Sunday Schedule
- 1 to 3 p.m.: Young Icons singing performance in the IKEA self-serve area
- 1 to 3 p.m.: Task Rabbit assembly demonstration in the IKEA self serve area
Giveaways and Discounts
- First 50 customers in line get a $15 IKEA gift card, both days. The store opens at 10 a.m.
- IKEA Family members receive a shopping discount of 15% off $150 furniture purchase both days, taken at register. Appliances not included.
- Raffles: IKEA Family customers can enter to win one of 15 IKEA articles or IKEA Family gift cards ranging from $50-$500, both days, starting at 10:15 a.m. and every half hour until 5:15 p.m., at the store entrance.
- Free piece of Anniversary cake for all customers who purchase an entrée until 6 p.m., or while supplies last. Both days, in the IKEA Restaurant.
