Innovate 301 is a program at Discovery Place that gathers a new community of learners who collaborate, share ideas and learn new skills. The events are free or inexpensive and do not require museum admission. The program on July 25th, 2015, from noon to 5:00 p.m., is free, and focuses on solar pyrography. The activity takes place at “Windows on Tryon” at Discovery Place, 301 North Tryon Street. Harness the power of the sun to create dazzling designs. Combining optics and heat, we’ll see our visions burn their way into the wood.
Future Innovate 301 programs might involve sewing, soldering and programming, and will explore new materials, tools and processes.
