International House presents Children’s World of Play on Saturday, March 28th, 2015, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. This is a free event. It takes place at ImaginOn, 300 East 7th Street. Kids will learn about different cultures through music, dance, games, puppetry, storytelling, crafts and more. 7th Street Public Market will be offering internationally-themed meal options.
Performances will include Indian dancing by Maha’s Dances of India, Brazilian fusion acts, Latin performances and African drummers. Come to Children’s World of Play to:
- Enjoy a parade of giant pole puppets by World of Good Creations
- Write your name in Chinese characters with guidance from The Confucius Institute at Pfeiffer University
- Cheer the dragon performance by Hidden Dragon Lion Dance
- Play with traditional Mexican toys
- Work your waist with a hula hoop from Hooping for Life
- Hear traditional storytelling from Polish School of Charlotte and Deutsche Schule Charlotte
