Mint Museum Randolph’s newest exhibit, It Takes a Village, celebrates the vibrant, grassroots art that’s happening up all over Charlotte by providing space to three local artist collectives, BlkMrktClt, Brand the Moth, and Goodyear Arts.
More than 25 artists contributed to the work, often working in collaboration with each other.
This exhibition recognizes the vast talent that is present in members of our community from a wide cross section of demographics. By showcasing artists whose work hasn’t been included in traditional museums so far, the Mint Museum invites us all to pay closer attention to the art around us, and to give these artists the respect that they deserve.
It Takes a Village will be at Mint Museum Randolph from June 12th to September 12th, 2021.
