Free Jazz Appreciation Concert in Huntersville April 26-27

Huntersville Parks & Recreation is hosting a jazz concert series one weekend in April of 2024, at Veterans Park, at 201 Huntersville-Concord Road, Huntersville. (Main and Maxwell.) The concerts take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on April 26 and 27, 2024.

This is a free concert series.

Friday April 26
6 to 9 p.m.: Hank Bilal
Hank Bilal is a Grammy nominated trombonist and fluent in other performing areas as a pianists, singer, and other brass instruments. He has produced multiple albums such as “The Black Aquarius”, “Brassential Elements” and “A Bona Fide Christmas” just to name a few.

Saturday April 27
6 to 6:40 p.m.: The Hopewell HS Titan Elite Jazz Ensemble (Te’Je’)
The Titan Elite Jazz Ensemble aka Te’Je’ is comprised of students in grades 10th-12th, who have demonstrated a high level of playing ability. They are individuals who are highly motivated and dedicated members of many facets of the school’s instrumental music program. The program has been newly rejuvenated under the direction of Mr. Curtis Bell the past 3 years and growing.

7:15 to 9 p.m.: Holly Hopkins Jazz
Holly Hopkins Jazz is a jazz combo group that artistically providing live jazz, blues, and more throughout Central North Carolina & beyond. They are a duo that consists of vocals, bass, and guitar sounds. She has been a part of Jazz Appreciation for a couple years now
