Conexiones: Exchanges Across Cultures is a FREE summer program at Levine Museum of the New South that explores culture through food, music, art and dance. The series, which was first held in the summer of 2015, was intentionally designed to be cross-cultural and highly participatory. Visitors enjoyed opportunities to not only learn about different cultural expressions from across Latin America including Columbia, Brazil and Mexico but to also fully interact with them. Examples of these included sampling the ingredients to a traditional recipe before trying to make it on your own, grabbing a paint brush and learning traditional dances. Registration is requested.
