Literary Festival of Charlotte is a free event that takes place on Saturday, October 6th, 2018, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., at Little Rock Cultural Center, 401 North Myers Street. This is in Uptown Charlotte, along 7th Street, between Davidson and McDowell Streets, and there’s plenty of free parking.
You will have the opportunity to purchase books and have them autographed by the authors.
The free festival includes music, an open mic, a book fair, author talks, book signing and more.
- 12:00PM-12:45PM: Opening Ceremonies. (Drum Circle/Music, Open Mic, Engagement Activities, Shop Book Fair).
- 1:00PM-1:45PM, Jaki Green: Poet Laureate (Keynote 1), Q and A and Book Signing.
- 2:00PM – 2:45PM: Wally Amos (Keynote 2), Literacy Celebration, Q and A.
- 3:00PM – 3:30PM: New Author Engagement with L. Monique King (Local Poet and author of “Letters to Assata).
- 3:30PM – 4:00PM: Book Party and Closing Ceremonies.
