Want to take karaoke up a notch? With Live Band Karaoke you sing karaoke, but with a live band backing you up instead of a recording.

Wednesday Night Live Band Karaoke
Live Band Karaoke takes place at Matthews Small Bar, 4320 Potters Road, Matthews, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The way it works:
- There will be a song list of around 150 songs, on hand. Pick your song and the band will play along with you, with lyrics on stage with you. The band will offer as much or as little vocal help as you need.
- Instrumentalists may also pick a song from the book and the band will play and/or sing along with you.
- Or do your own song, either with the band backing you, or on your own. Originals and covers are welcome.
- During the first rotation, each performer will perform one song.
- Once everyone on the list has played at least once, they’ll start a second rotation. Late arrivals will be worked into the rotation.
- If you’re an instrumentalist or backup singer with a quick ear and a big repertoire you might be asked to back up other singers, so when you sign up let them know if you’re interested.
- Signups start at 7:30 p.m. and the music starts at 8 p.m.
