"Live From the Double Door Inn" at Independent Picture House Dec 22

On December 22, 2023, Charlotte’s legendary music club, The Double Door Inn, would have turned 50. The club closed in 2017.

Learn and reminisce about the Double Door at a special event at Independent Picture House, 4237 Raleigh Street, Charlotte, North Carolina, on Friday, December 22, 2023, at 8 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance. It’s likely to sell out.

The movie “Live From the Double Door Inn” will be screened, as well as a 8-minute bonus feature of the club’s owner, Nick Karres, talking about the early days.

The movie traces the history of the club from its humble beginnings to international fame.

There will also be a panel discussion of Karres and the film’s four producers.
