The smash hit musical, The Book of Mormon, will be at Belk Theater, 130 N. Tryon Street, from July 24 to 29th. As you can imagine, tickets are scarce.
However, The Book of Mormon is holding a lottery at the box office prior to every performance on this national tour, making tickets in the first two rows available for $25. You will need to be at the box office in person to enter the lottery.
Here’s how it will work:
Entries will be accepted at the box office beginning two and a half hours prior to each performance; each person will print their name and the number of tickets (1 or 2) they wish to purchase on a card that is provided.
Two hours before curtain, names will be drawn at random for a limited number of tickets priced at $25 each. Only one entry is allowed per person. Cards are checked for duplication prior to drawing.
Winners must be present at the time of the drawing and show valid ID to purchase tickets. Limit one entry per person and two tickets per winner. Tickets are subject to availability.
In addition, Student Rush tickets will be available two hours before the show for $25. You must present valid student ID to receive tickets. Two tickets per valid ID. Valid at the box office only while seats remain.

Hamilton has been holding a digital lottery for $10 before every performance. In the case of Hamilton the lottery will take place online two days before each performance. 40 tickets will be awarded for each performance. This is how the lottery has worked for other cities, and it will likely be the same for Charlotte.
