Mac Tabby Cat Café, at 516 E. 15th Street, is Charlotte’s first cat café. At the café you can enjoy coffee, tea, other beverages, and pastries, and also spend time with cats.
Mac Tabby Cat Café is actually two spaces: the café, where you check in and purchase your food and drink, and the cat lounge next door, where you can bring your treats and hang out with 12 cats.
The best part is that all the cats are adoptable. If you fall in love with one, you can fill out an application to adopt him or her.
It costs $12/hour to hang out in the lounge, and you can (and should) make reservations ahead of time.
On Thursday, May 17th, and Friday, May 18th, Mac Tabby Cat Café is showing appreciation for police officers by inviting them to come by. They will get a free coffee, free pastry, and free time to lounge with the cats. Police officers are welcome to grab a coffee to go, or to spend time with the cats.
