Artist Rosalia Torres-Weiner, with her Red Calaca Studio, is presenting a free performance of The Magic Kite in front of Las Delicias Bakery, 4405 Central Avenue, on Saturday, July 29th, 2017, at 7:30 p.m.
Torres-Weiner worked with Children’s Theatre of Charlotte in 2015 to create a live stage performance of this story about immigration, family, love and hope.
After the run of Children’s Theatre performances ended, she adapted the story into a “Suitcase Story,” telling the story through puppets made from paper and sticks, music and colorful art.
See a free performance of the suitcase story. There will be a few chairs available, but you should bring your own to make sure you have one.
