
No matter how you like to celebrate Mardi Gras, there’s a party for you in the Charlotte area in 2025. Here’s a list of events that are free or cheap to attend. Drinks are on you, but you can expect to find some drink specials at many of these events. Some of these are family events and some are for adults.

Our son’s birthday cake was a King Cake from Wheatberry Bakeshop (South End). My husband (from Mobile, AL, birthplace of Mardi Gras) said it was the best King Cake he’d ever had!
