The Village of Marvin is presenting the 1st Annual Marvin Day Festival on Saturday, May 21st, 2022. This is an all-day festival for all ages that takes place at multiple venues in Marvin.

The Village of Marvin is in Union County, right at the North Carolina/South Carolina border. It’s about a 33 minute drive from the center of Charlotte, and close to South Charlotte, Ballantyne and Pineville. It’s very close to Weddington and Waxhaw. Some addresses for Marvin might come up as in Waxhaw in your GPS.

Marvin Elementary School

Art Display and Tours
Three local artists are displaying work at the Marvin Efird Barn. The display will be open from 8 to 10 a.m., and from 12 to 2 p.m. In addition, two artists will be offering art tours at their homes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Nature Walks
Take a guided nature walk. The walks start at the front of Marvin Efird Park, in the Cottage Garden. Tours are offered at 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Register here.
Garden Tours
Stop by the Cottage Garden at Marvin Efird Park between 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. You an meet some gardeners and ask questions. Some will also be offering garden tours on their properties.
Carolina Raptor Center Exhibit
Meet some birds of prey at the Marvin Efird Park Barn from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.
Car Show
The 12th Annual Marvin Ridge Band Car show takes place at Marvin Ridge High School from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event supports the Marvin Ridge Band Booster Club.
Pony Rides and Petting Zoo
Two pones will be available for rides at Marvin Efird Park from 12 to 2 p.m. in addition, A Zoo To You will be there with a petting zoo. Meet an alpaca, llama, teacup pig, mini goats, a baby doll sheep and mini cow and bunnies.
Village Hall Tour and Meet and Greet
The newly opened Village Hall, at 10006 New Town Road, will be open for tours from 12 to 4 p.m. You’ll have the chance to meet members of the Marvin Village Council.
Disc Golf Clinics
Meet at the 6th hole of the disc golf course at Marvin Efird Park for a disc golf clinic. The clinics are at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Limit of 25 people per clinic. Participants will receive a FREE souvenir Marvin Day disc. Reservations are required for the clinic, but anyone can play the other holes.
Equine Showcase
Cedarhill Farm is hostin an Equine showcase across the street from Marvin Ridge High School from 4 to 5 p.m. Parking is at the school. Learn about dressage, jumping and other competitions.
Concert
Enjoy a FREE country music concert by Ryan Perry. It will take place at Marvin Ridge High School at 6 p.m.
Fireworks
Fireworks will follow the concert.
Food Trucks
There will be food trucks at all three main locations.
