The Matthews Heritage Museum will present the program Christmas Traditions on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at 2 p.m. at Matthews Public Library, 230 Matthews Station Street, Matthews.
This illustrated talk given by Museum Director Barbara Taylor will take a look at the origin of many of the traditions we celebrate at Christmas.
Do you know why people started to decorated their houses at Christmas? Why do we kiss under mistletoe? And how did we create our dear Santa? These and many other traditions will be explained.
If you are interested in attending this program at the Matthews Public Library, a reservation is necessary as there is limited seating. Please call the museum at 704-708-4996 to participate in the FREE program. (Not suitable for Santa Claus believers).
