On Sunday, May 3rd, 2015, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Safe Kids Charlotte-Mecklenburg is presenting a Day of Play outside Carolina Place, next to Buca di Beppo. Safety agencies will be on hand to play games with kids that teach safety, while parents can ask questions. Take a tour of the Fed Ex truck, meet Gus the Bus, eat a s’more, hug Buckle Bear. Take a spin in the bike rodeo (use the bikes provided or bring your own.) Bring your child’s helmet to get checked for safety. There will be a water safety relay. Get a gun lock. Bring your old bulky TV and electrical devices to be destroyed by USB recycling. There will be a bounce house and prizes for all. Older kids can try the sports inflatable game and ride the don’t text and drive cart.
