Mental Health Matters is presenting Charlotte’s first Mental Health Matters 5K and Kids Dash with a post-race community event to create awareness for mental health.
It will take place Sunday, May 19, 2024, from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at McAlpine Creek Park, 8711 Monroe Road, Charlotte, North Carolina.
The festival is free and open to everyone.
The 5K costs $40.
The festival includes music, bounce house, food trucks, small business vendors, and local mental health resources.
Additionally, there will be complimentary Acupuncture by Modern Acupuncture, Charlotte Pop-Up Yoga Adult & Kids Yoga Sessions, Adam Church Performance, Willow Wagon Photo Opportunities, and more.
The 5K, timed by Start 2 Finish Events, starts at 10:30 a.m.
The Festival will officially open to the public at 11 a.m. and the Kids’ Fun Run around the pond will take place at 11:30 a.m.
Mental Health Matters non-profit’s mission is to create awareness and reduce stigma associated with mental health through fun and engaging community events.
