Music Everywhere CLT is hosting a free screening of the documentary, How to Save a Milestone, on Sunday, February 2, 2025, from 5:30 to 9 p.m., at Neighborhood Theatre, 411 E 36th Street, Charlotte, North Carolina.
This 90-minute documentary tells the inspiring story of the fight to preserve the iconic Milestone Club—dubbed the “CBGB of the South” — where legendary bands like Nirvana, R.E.M., and the Violent Femmes made history over the past 50 years.
Free to attend, but reservations are required.
Following the screening, stay for a lively panel discussion with the filmmakers and local independent venue owners as they explore how we can support Charlotte’s vibrant music scene and ensure its future.
Schedule:
- 5:30 p.m.: Doors open
- 6:00 p.m.: Screening of How to Save a Milestone
- 7:30 p.m.: Panel discussion with filmmakers and Charlotte’s independent venue owners
