Show your “I Voted” sticker at the front desk from October 17 to November 5, 2024, and get FREE admission. Your proof of voting also earns you a $25 off membership. You must buy the membership in person (not online) to get this discount.

Membership
An annual membership grants you and a guest to free access to both locations of The Mint Museum.
The regular price of the Contributor level of membership is $60, so with the “voter discount,” it’s only $35. It grants you and a guest free general and special exhibitions at both museums, as well as:
- Access to 50+ additional arts + cultural institutions with Southeastern Reciprocal Museums
- $10 admission for select exceptional timed-ticketed exhibitions (some exclusions may apply)
- 10% discount on purchases at The Mint Museum Store
- 10% discount at Mariposa , Fern , and Coquette restaurants

The Mint Museum Uptown
Southern/Modern
October 26, 2024, to February 2, 2025
The first exhibition to present a comprehensive survey of works by artists working in the American South in the first half of the 20th century
Created in collaboration with Georgia Museum of Art, the exhibition includes more than 100 paintings and works on paper by artists working in states below the Mason-Dixon line and as far west as those bordering the Mississippi River, as well as some artists living outside of the region who made significant bodies of work during visits.

The Communion of White Dresses
September 4 to October 27, 2024
Jaki Shelton Green and Monique Luck have collaborated to bring an interactive, artistic poetic installation to life, using the words from Green’s poem The Communion of White Dresses. This exhibition reimagines the tradition, symbolism, and representation of white dresses, exploring their intersection with the generational culture of white dresses and the black female body politic.

Kenny Nguyen: Adaptations
September 6, 2024, to March 2, 2025
Born and raised on a coconut grove in the Bến Tre province of Vietnam, the artist lived a quiet rural life and later moved to the States at the age of 19. This dispersion from his homeland mapped a new internal geography–a subtle double-consciousness that the artist works with– traversing the spiritual and physical, the contemporary and historical.
Thinking of himself as a hybrid, Nguyen merges his cultural traditions and the canon of abstract painting and fiber art in an innovative way. Also, in reverence of ancestors who endured histories of colonization and imperialism by the Chinese and French for hundreds to thousands of years, Nguyen’s work processes diasporic data and illuminates the shifting nature of place and identity as an ode to these transmutative legacies and an exploration of his own creative metamorphosis.

Objects of Affection
April 27, 2024, to February 16, 2025
Objects of Affection: Jewelry by Robert Ebendorf From the Porter • Price Collection celebrates the work of artist Robert Ebendorf, one of the most influential artists in the studio jewelry movement, beginning in the 1960s to today.
The exhibition features more than 180 works of jewelry, metalwork, drawings, and archival materials drawn from the Porter • Price Collection designed by Ebendorf, as well as faculty and graduates of the metal design program at East Carolina University.
